Spotlight Drive is in pre-launch development. This page explains the company’s current approach to AI and the principles guiding possible future product features. It does not claim that the pre-launch app, an AI career manager, automated matching, or other live AI features are publicly available.
What is current
The public website contains product-vision demonstrations, educational resources, Spotlight News, Early Access information, and public Spotlight Challenge information. Where a demonstration is predefined rather than connected to a live AI service, it is labeled as a simulation or fixed example.
Spotlight Drive may use AI-assisted tools internally for organization, transcription, outlining, drafting, research support, search support, formatting, workflow exploration, or quality checks. AI output is not treated as an authoritative source. Public company and editorial material is subject to human review for factual claims, source use, context, rights, privacy, and publication decisions.
What is planned
Possible future product uses may include helping a user organize career materials, understand an opportunity, prepare for an audition, search approved information, identify relevant context, or support matching and workflow organization. Those ideas remain subject to product development, testing, privacy review, legal requirements, and clear user-facing disclosure. Final features, availability, and implementation may change.
People make consequential decisions
AI should support informed human action, not erase human responsibility. Spotlight Drive’s product philosophy is that AI does not independently make final casting decisions. Casting teams, filmmakers, representatives, creators, and users remain responsible for their professional and creative choices. A recommendation, ranking, summary, or generated suggestion should not be presented as a guarantee of suitability, employment, booking, safety, or outcome.
Nothing consequential should be sent, submitted, published, accepted, purchased, or represented as a user’s decision without appropriate awareness and control. Spotlight Drive does not intend AI to impersonate a user, a casting professional, a performer, or a source.
Human review and control
Human review should be proportional to the stakes. Editorial publication requires human responsibility. Users should be able to review important information before acting on it. Casting decisions remain with people. Product demonstrations must distinguish fixed examples from live systems. When an AI limitation, generated element, or simulation is material to understanding the experience, Spotlight Drive should disclose it in plain language.
Limitations and user responsibility
AI systems can be incomplete, incorrect, biased, outdated, or misleading. They may misunderstand context, miss eligibility or union requirements, misstate a deadline, or produce material that resembles existing work. Users should verify important facts with the original source, review all generated or summarized material, protect confidential information, and obtain professional advice when legal, financial, medical, safety, union, tax, or rights questions require it.
AI assistance does not transfer responsibility for permissions, copyright, publicity rights, accuracy, consent, employment terms, or professional conduct. For the Spotlight Challenge, material generative-AI use is governed by the current Challenge rules and disclosure requirements.
Privacy and data boundaries
Do not submit passwords, full payment-card details, government identifiers, private audition media, confidential scripts, medical information, or other sensitive material to a general website form or an AI experience unless the service expressly asks for it and explains why it is needed. Early Access information is private by default and is not automatically converted into a public or search-indexed profile.
The current Privacy Policy governs the public website. Feature-specific notices, controls, and data practices should be provided before any public product feature processes additional categories of user information. This page does not promise that a technical safeguard exists before it has been implemented, tested, and documented.
Editorial AI use
For Spotlight News and applicable editorial resources, AI may assist but does not replace sourcing, fact-checking, attribution, rights review, or the human publication decision. AI output is not a source. Fabricated quotes, sources, credentials, or events are prohibited. See the Editorial Standards.
Questions and updates
This policy may be updated as the product and public features develop. Material changes should reflect what is actually available rather than treating plans as shipped capabilities. Questions about AI use can be sent to info@spotlightdrive.com or through the contact form.
