The 2027 Tribeca Festival has opened submissions across feature films, shorts and music videos, television, digital creators, games, podcasts, and branded storytelling.
The festival is scheduled for June 3–12, 2027, in New York City. The first early deadlines arrive October 21 for features and Tribeca TV, followed by October 28 for shorts, music videos, digital creators, and games.

Why it matters
Tribeca is accepting more than completed films. The open categories also cover episodic work, online creators, narrative podcasts, unreleased games, and brand-supported storytelling. Each track has its own price, premiere rules, and deadline calendar, so creators should choose the category before planning a submission budget or release strategy.

Rules filmmakers should check first
Feature films must run at least 40 minutes and maintain at least New York regional premiere status before the festival. Most shorts must also maintain New York regional premiere status to compete. Music videos follow a different premiere rule, and student-directed shorts may request a discount code with proof of enrollment.
Tribeca accepts clearly labeled works in progress in applicable film categories. Submitters may update a cut while keeping the same streaming link and password through the final applicable deadline; a changed link or password must be reported to the festival.
More than film submissions
Digital Creators is for storytellers publishing on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Tribeca TV accepts studio and independent episodic work. The games section considers unreleased web, console, virtual-reality, augmented-reality, and mobile projects. The podcast section is limited to narrative English- or Spanish-language work rather than general chat shows.
The headline deadline is only the start. Before paying, creators should read the full rules for their exact category, confirm premiere status, test all private links, and save the final application and receipt.
